During their conversation Tommy told Steve Bannon that he expects the Republicans will vote for and approve President Trump’s Attorney General the first week they are in office.

Senator Tuberville: Folks, it is time to fight. This is a war like none, whatever. I’ve been up here for it. I have been a football coach, and let me tell you something. I’ve seen every day up here that we have fight, and we have to beat them back so far that it’s going to take them forever to get back on their feet.

Steve Bannon: The massive victory we had four years in the making on 5 November, because a lot of people are saying they’re drinking the champagne, and they should… But explain to people how that just sets us up for the even bigger battle that we’ve got in front of us.

Senator Tuberville: Well, first of all, the Democrats know what they’re planning for. They want to change the country into something else. So that’s their game plan. Schumer in the Senate, he’s got them all under his wing. They’re going to listen to everything he says. They’re not going to back off one inch because they won’t get one dime of campaign money if they do.

Our chairmanship, we’re just opposite. We’re going to make everybody feel good. If you’ve been up here for a long time, you get to do whatever you want to do. It’s wrong. We got to have fighters. We got to have people that’s going to fight in every committee that’s not going to take no from any of these Democrats. We’re in charge. If we back up, it’s like this, Matt Gaetz and Pete Hegseth, all these people that are being nominations. Hey, it should be a no-brainer. Prove to me he’s a criminal. If you do, I won’t vote for him. But until then, he’s in.

Steve Bannon:  The old analogy I used in football is flood the zone. We did that. President Trump has done that to put the media and the Democrats back on their back foot with all these great announcements of disruptors. People are going to take the system and restructure it. The second time, in my theory, the case is to say, Hey, in early January, when the House and Senate are back in, you’re sworn in for the new Congress, you’ve got to roll up as a group with these confirmation hearings before the 20th of January. You’ve got to be ready to go. Then on the 20th, you hit them with a third wave of flood the zone with executive orders and everything President is going to do. Would you – Are you supportive of that to get the confirmations of at least these frontline big things starting right after you guys are sworn in?

Tommy Tuberville:  Oh, yeah, that’ll be done. We’ve already planned that. …Yeah, that’s been planned.

Steve Bannon:  So you want to move it quickly?

Tommy Tuberville: We have to. Now, we’re sworn in January third, but I think it’s a couple of days after that. But we should have the SecDef, the Attorney General, the Secretary Treasurer. I don’t think Tom Holman, he didn’t have to go through because he’s a Tsar. He’s one of those Tsars…

Steve Bannon:  But what about the AG? You put AG in that first?

Tommy Tuberville:  Number one.

Steve Bannon:  You’re saying right now, this is news. You guys are planning this on the fifth or sixth, some time up front, to get all the major ones of President Trump in there.

Tommy Tuberville:  Now, the Democrats did this last time. When I got here, they were rolling. They had the SecDef going and the Attorney General. And, of course, we had a lot of our Republicans that voted for a lot of these people. You know what I mean? Democrats voted for-

Steve Bannon:  Well, 19 voted for Merrick Garland, Republicans. Yeah.

Tommy Tuberville:  Not one Democrat voted against any nomination. Not one. It was zero. I did a speech on the floor yesterday. I had a big zero there. They all were in. They’re in on their game. They know what they want to do. When you know that, you know how to win. How do you know how to win if you don’t know what you’re fighting for? We’re fighting for our country, and we better wake up and smell the roses, because if we don’t, we’re going to lose this country. It’s going to be gone, and we’re not going to have the second chance of a Donald Trump. It’s not going to happen.
