Ben Bergquam confronts open borders Illinois Governor JB Pritzker
Real America’s Voice correspondent Ben Bergquam and Chicago local Terry Newsome of the Behind Enemy Lines podcast brought the fire to a press conference earlier where Illinois Governor JB Pritzker and Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson attacked President Trump’s plan to fight back against sanctuary cities and illegal aliens.
During the presser at a West Side lighting manufacturing plant, Pritzker and Johnson reportedly preached about diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives and pledged to fight off Trump’s mass deportation efforts.
This comes in response to President Trump’s recent Executive Actions to secure the border and abolish wasteful DEI programs in our government. As The Gateway Pundit reported, President Trump signed a Memorandum placing all federal Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Accessibility (DEIA) employees on administrative leave, effective Wednesday at 5 pm, pending the termination of these programs.
Additionally, Trump’s mass deportation efforts have kicked off with Border Czar Tom Homan announcing that illegal alien raids were underway as of Tuesday, leading to the arrest of over 300 violent alien offenders, including murderers and child rapists, by Wednesday. Trump has also sent 1,500 additional Army National Guard and Reserve troops to the Southern Border, adding to the thousands already stationed there.
As The Gateway Pundit reported, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) conducted a large-scale raid in Boston, targeting criminal aliens, including MS-13 gang members, murder suspects, and a Haitian gang member with 18 prior convictions. Cullen Linebarger reported for us earlier that one of the captured fugitives freaked out as the Fox News crew continued to film, and he gave a shout-out to the individuals who made his life in America possible: Joe Biden and Barack Obama.

Bergquam and Newsome have done extensive work exposing the trafficking and harboring of criminal illegal aliens and Tren De Araugua gang members in the sanctuary city of Chicago.

The duo confronted the Chicago Mayor and Governor Pritzker during their press conference on Thursday. Pritzker answered one question from Bergquam but refused to allow him to ask more.
“Governor, real quick, the amount of money that you’ve spent on harboring illegals over the last four years and protecting them now, and after Mayor Johnson’s email that just went out yesterday, saying they’re going to spend more money on protecting illegals at the expense of the American citizens, in particular, the west side and the south side; we’ve got representatives here. I’ve got Bob Israel here. Why not invest that money there?” Bergquam asked Pritzker before attempting to shoot another question: “Are you prepared to be arrested if you don’t follow President Trump’s orders?”
Pritzker laughed and shrugged off Bergquam as he asked the questions before he lectured about following the law, as his state refuses to do.
Pritzker: [inaudible] in the state of Illinois is about protecting the residents of the state of Illinois. That is what it is about: the citizens. We will stand up for anybody who is standing up for the law. We follow the law in the state of Illinois. I’m very concerned that Donald Trump and the federal government is not going to be following the law. Indeed, they have proposed getting rid of birthright citizenship for many families. Imagine. We all ought to stand up for the Constitution. This president does not.
Pritzker then ignored Newsome, asking, “What about the Venezuelans? Why don’t you collaborate with ICE with the Tren De Aragua and the Venezuelans?”
After remarks from Mayor Brandon Johnson, the press conference ended, and the Johnson ran from Bergquam as he asked, “What about the illegals that are victimizing the citizens? Mayor? Mayor Johnson, what about the illegals that are victimizing American citizens?”
Bergquam then confronted Pritzker, asking, “How much money was spent on protecting illegals?” and “Are you receiving any funds from cartels, Sir? Are you receiving any money from the cartels or is Mayor Johnson receiving any money from the cartels?”
