Illegal border crossings are way down and Trump has only been president for a little over a month. This proves that the Democrats lied to the American people, repeatedly, about the need for a border bill.
You may recall that this came up over and over again during the election. Democrats, members of the media, and even debate moderators claimed that Biden was powerless to stop the invasion at our southern border because Republicans wouldn’t pass the border bill. They also pointed directly at Trump as the main reason the bill wouldn’t pass, claiming that Trump didn’t want to fix the problem because he wanted to run on the issue.

Now the border is effectively closed and Trump did not need a new bill to do it, just existing immigration laws, which his administration is enforcing.
Look at this report from CBS News. They almost seem surprised:
Amid Trump crackdown, illegal border crossings plunge to levels not seen in decades
The number of migrants crossing the U.S. southern border illegally in President Trump’s first full month in office plunged to a level not seen in at least 25 years, according to preliminary government data obtained by CBS News.
Last month, Border Patrol recorded about 8,450 apprehensions of migrants who crossed into the country unlawfully between official entry points along the U.S.-Mexico border, the statistics show.
On some days during a record spike in illegal crossings under the Biden administration, Border Patrol recorded more than 8,000 apprehensions in a single day…
Over the past 25 years, the only time monthly apprehensions came close to the level recorded in February was in April 2017, when Border Patrol apprehended 11,000 migrants at the southwest border, agency data show.

Everything Harris and Biden said about border enforcement was a bald-faced lie. Biden and Harris didn’t need that bill to enforce border security and control immigration enforcement. Trump had managed to do it without that bill for the four years of his first term. Biden and Harris created the border crisis because they wanted to force Republicans into a bad “compromise” bill that would leave illegal crossings at historic highs for as long as possible. Their progressive-elite clique detests borders and sneers at American legitimacy, and would have never even cared about the crisis unless Greg Abbott and Ron DeSantis started to bus illegals into places like Washington DC, New York, and Chicago.
As Elon Musk recently pointed out on the Joe Rogan podcast, the open border was a strategy to turn the country into a one-party socialist state, and they almost succeeded.

Also bear in mind, that Trump has stopped the flow of illegals and the wall isn’t even finished yet. And that’s still coming.
