Family, Friends of Frmr. Arkansas Sen. Jon Woods Beg President Trump for Pardon as He Fights for His Life After Botched Prison Heart Surgery

Former Arkansas State Senator Jon Woods — a conservative fighter and one of the first elected officials in the nation to endorse Donald Trump in 2016 — is now clinging to life after an emergency heart surgery went horribly wrong.

And his family doesn’t even know where he is.

Woods, 47, has been locked up in federal prison since his politically charged prosecution nearly a decade ago — a case initiated by Jack Smith, the same Obama/Biden DOJ hitman now targeting Trump. Back then, Smith led the DOJ’s Public Integrity Section and allegedly targeted Woods for daring to support Trump in Hillary Clinton’s home state.

The Trump administration has been cleaning up the “Public Integrity Section” and its den of vipers. This is the department that went after Eric Adams after he challenged the Biden administration’s open borders policies that were causing crime in New York City to skyrocket. This department was filled with deep state snakes that operated as political persecutors for left-wing elites. Disgraced DOJ Attorney Robert Heberle, who also spearheaded the cover-up evidence of 2020 voter fraud, was quietly forced out of the Department in February.

Woods, among several other forgotten political prisoners targeted by Obama and his allies, have been hopeful to get a pardon since President Trump’s historic victory over the Deep State.

Now, Woods’ health has collapsed after receiving the COVID vaccine — and his friends and family are making an emergency appeal to President Trump to pardon him before it’s too late.

FBI AGENT ADMITTED TO DESTROYING EVIDENCE IN WOODS CASE

The case against Woods has long smelled of political revenge. One of the FBI agents involved in his case — Agent Robert Cessario — pleaded guilty to destroying critical “Brady” evidence that could have exonerated Woods. Cessario walked with three years’ probation. Woods, by contrast, is serving an outrageous 18-year sentence.

The FBI Agent, Robert Cessario, pled guilty to destroying the original audio files used to convict Woods.

The judge said that Woods could not use the destruction of evidence because he could not prove what was on the destroyed files. And since Woods could not prove that the destroyed evidence would have freed him, the judge ruled it was irrelevant to his defense.

Woods and his allies claim the evidence would have shown the disgraced FBI agent was coaching witnesses to lie, and were also coordinating a conspiracy to frame him as a strong ally of President Trump.

The federal judge then gave the disgraced FBI Agent three years probation for the deliberate and purposeful destruction of evidence.

The allegations against Woods were that he encouraged a state grant to a Christian College that he was advising. This was the basis for an outrageous 18 year federal prison sentence.

FEDS JABBING INMATES, CAUSING HEART FAILURES FOR POLITICAL PRISONERS

According to family sources, Woods was subjected to seven COVID-19 injections while in prison. Not long after, he developed atrial fibrillation (Afib) and was diagnosed with a faulty heart valve. He underwent emergency surgery at a Texas hospital, but the operation led to immediate complications. Surgeons were forced to perform a second four-hour procedure.

That was the last time anyone heard anything.

Since then, his family says they have been cut off — denied visitation, denied information, and told nothing about his condition or even his location.

“Jon is fighting for his life, and we don’t even know where he is,” said one of Woods’ close friends, speaking anonymously for fear of retaliation. “This is cruel. This is inhumane. And it’s time for President Trump to act.”

“HE STOOD WITH TRUMP. NOW HE NEEDS HELP BEFORE THE DEEP STATE DOJ KILLS HIM.”

Conservative leaders are now urging Trump to issue a presidential pardon for Woods — before it’s too late.

The Gateway Pundit identified Woods as one of the Obama-era political prisoners back in January 2021.

“This is a man who stood with President Trump when it wasn’t popular — and they destroyed his life for it,” said a prominent conservative activist. “He’s already lost eight years. He’s paid the price. Now he’s in critical condition, and his family deserves a chance to be by his side.”

Woods’ case has long sparked outrage on the right, not only for the political nature of his prosecution but for the shocking misconduct that came to light during and after his trial. Supporters say the federal government broke its own rules to take him down.

Now, with his health failing and his life hanging by a thread, the injustice has reached a breaking point.

“We’re praying for Jon and begging President Trump to step in,” said the friend. “This pardon could save his life. Let his family take him home.”

On Tuesday, Jon Woods managed to call his brother Rob for a 25-minute phone call — the first direct communication since the terrifying emergency heart procedures last week. Rob says Jon was emotional, in pain, and overwhelmed by what he’s been through — but still thinking about his friends, family, and supporters.

According to Rob, his brother Jon underwent a scheduled four-hour surgery on Thursday to repair a faulty heart valve. But shortly after, his condition suddenly deteriorated. His stomach began expanding and alarms on the monitors sounded — prompting a rush back into surgery. Doctors discovered a leak that had been causing internal bleeding, and they had to pump a liter of blood from his stomach.

Jon endured a second four-hour surgery that left his heart badly weakened. His heart rate has since dropped to just 30 beats per minute, and doctors are now monitoring him closely to determine whether he’ll require a pacemaker in the next 24 to 48 hours. “The doctor says it’s from the trauma,” Rob explained.

In vivid and heartbreaking detail, Jon described the aftermath: tubes running from his chest into a container beside his bed, arms black and blue from IVs, and his body swollen with three liters of saline. He’s been given what he described as an “insane amount” of blood thinners, morphine, and diuretics. He is currently too weak to stand or walk without passing out.

“He said to tell everyone he loves them,” Rob said, his voice cracking. “He mentioned everyone by name. And he said if anything happens to him, he hopes we’ll keep working to clear his name.”

Despite Jon’s harrowing condition, Rob reports that the prison unit manager still refuses to allow the family to visit him, citing policy that only permits visitation if the inmate is in a terminal state. “We can’t help but wonder about the level of care he’s getting,” Rob said. “This all could have been avoided. But for now, we’re praying that the worst is behind us and that the pacemaker gets him on the road to recovery.”

Supporters are continuing to call for President Trump to act immediately. “A pardon right now is more than legal relief — it could be a matter of life or death,” one supporter said. “Let this man’s family see him. Let him go home.”

Jon Woods is like America in October 2024: his only hope is a rescue from President Donald Trump.
