Department of Defense Confirms Cancellation of Cruel and Deadly Cat Experiments Following Campaign by Laura Loomer and White Coat Waste

The Department of Defense has confirmed the cancellation of a $10 million contract to shove marbles up the anuses of cats and electroshock them, after Laura Loomer and taxpayer watchdog and animal advocacy organization White Coat Waste exposed the cruel experiments.

The unhinged tests, conducted as research into constipation, were highlighted by Loomer and WCW earlier this month.

BREAKING! Following a WCW investigation & campaign, @DeptofDefense has canceled wasteful & deadly $10M cat experiments!

Thank you @SecDef @POTUS!

Loomer reported, “White Coat Waste (WCW) has learned that the DOD’s Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency recently extended a $10 million contract to the University of Pittsburgh for inhumane experiments on cats. In these absurd DOD-funded animal tests, cats have marbles and balloons shoved into their rectums and are then electro-shocked for constipation and erectile dysfunction studies.”

“The DOD contract was supposed to expire in May of 2025, but a federal spending database shows the contract was recently extended to run throughout 2027,” the report added.

President @realDonaldTrump’s own Department of Defense just RENEWED a $10 million contract to shove marbles into cats’ rectums and electroshock them for constipation research.

Less than two weeks later, the Department of Defense confirmed in a post on X, responding to Loomer, that the funding was being terminated.

“This is canceled,” the DOD Rapid Response account wrote. “All waste at DOD is being removed.”

Speaking to The Gateway Pundit, Loomer pointed to Trump’s history of standing up for animal welfare.

“It was disturbing to learn that under the new administration, rogue actors and Biden holdovers within agencies renewed these taxpayer-funded animal abuse experiments, contrary to President Trump’s long history of standing up for animal welfare,” Loomer told The Gateway Pundit. “I’m grateful for the work of White Coat Waste and the Trump administration, especially Pete Hegseth, for immediately investigating the DOD contract upon learning of my joint investigation with White Coat Waste.”

Loomer pointed out that Trump has long been a defender of animal welfare — and that White Coat Waste is collecting wins, even with just a fraction of the leftist animal welfare organization PETA’s budget.

“Once again, President Trump is charting new territories for the right by blurring the ideological line of animal welfare activism and proving that he is the strongest president in US history when it comes to criminalizing animal abuse and fighting for the welfare of our furry friends,” Loomer said. “White Coat Waste is the tip of the spear, even though they are operating with just six percent of PETA’s budget.”

White Coat Waste President Anthony Bellotti told The Gateway Pundit:

“We applaud President Trump and Secretary Hegseth for cutting the cruel cat experiments White Coat Waste exposed in a Pentagon-funded lab. White Coat Waste investigators uncovered how Biden’s Defense Department wasted over $10 million of taxpayers’ money to cripple kittens and ram marbles and condoms up their anuses before electro-shocking them in constipation and erectile dysfunction tests. We’re proud that a White Coat Waste-led investigation recently prompted Trump to slash the NIH’s last in-house beagle lab. Taxpayers shouldn’t be forced to pay for the Pentagon’s pet abuse either, and now, following a White Coat Waste campaign, including powerful advocacy from our friends Sen. Rand Paul, Elon Musk and Laura Loomer, they won’t have to.”

In April, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) announced plans to phase out animal testing requirements, starting with monoclonal antibodies and expanding to other drugs after a long pressure campaign from WCW.

The Trump administration’s Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has also pledged to eliminate animal testing, reinstating a plan originally introduced during President Donald Trump’s first term.

Earlier this week, Secretary of Veterans Affairs Doug Collins also confirmed the department will end at least some of its primate testing before the 2026 deadline set by Congress. Since 2016, WCW had worked to expose how the VA was giving puppies heart attacks, injecting monkeys with angel dust, crippling kittens, drilling into cat’s skulls, and much more.

WCW is the only animal advocacy organization to shut down any government primate lab in nearly a decade, any government dog testing labs in almost 20 years, and any government cat lab in the last 40 years.
