Opening the second day of CPAC Budapest, Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjárto highlighted PM Viktor Orbán’s peace efforts in Ukraine: “For 3 years we have been arguing for a cease-fire. Now those who were attacking us are also  calling for a cease-fire.“

“We had to oppose illegal migration for years. We built a fence to stop all illegal migrants. We have to pay a fine of €1 million a day to the EU because of this. We consider this an investment in the security of Hungary,” Szijjárto said.

“And we had to protect our children from the aggressive transgender agenda,” Szijjárto said. The previous US government had actively tried to overthrow the Hungarian government. “Now Brussels has taken over the role of Washington, DC, trying to install a puppet government that is willing to give up the sovereignty of Hungary, ready to send arms to Ukraine, dismantle the border fence and let transgender back into our schools.”

Szijjárto predicted that Orbán “will be victorious in Elections 2026, so when you come back here next year, we can celebrate another great victory for Hungary.”

Europe’s true threat comes from within. The globalists in Brussels urge us to drop our traditions and faith for a future that leads to crises and chaos. Europe doesn’t need liberal fantasies – it needs roots, strength, and pride. Time to scrap the liberal plan and embrace the… pic.twitter.com/7bj5WYv0E4

Speaking at CPAC Budapest for the first time, Alternative for Germany (AfD) chair Alice Weidel sent “greetings from freedom-loving patriots of Germany.“ She called the AfD the “second-strongest political party in Germany and next ruling party.“

“Legacy media and established parties fear us with good reason,” Weidel said. “Quality of life is deteriorating in Germany. People suffer from exploding crime, high taxes and destruction of wealth. The voted-out Green government only attempt to silence critical voices under the guise of combating hate speech.”

“Instead of preventing terror,” the German Verfassungsschutz secret police “spies on the AfD with the purpose of criminalizing and banning the strongest opposition party. It is grotesque and authoritarian, but they will not prevail,”  Weidel said.

“They refer to it as a Firewall, but it is really a Panic Room of a woke antidemocratic establishment that is running scared. In their panic, they are dismantling democracy itself.”

“As JD Vance put it, democracy rests on the voice of the people,” Weidel said. “There is no room for firewalls,” Weidel said.

Vance’s speech at the Munich Security Conference February 16 “restored confidence in democracy in millions of EU citizens,” Weidel said.

“We fight for peace in Ukraine, peace with Russia, good relations with our neighbors – and with the USA,” Weidel said. The audience at CPAC gave her a standing ovation afterward.

“The wind of change is blowing stronger in Europe and throughout the Western world. The future belongs to free, patriotic citizens and sovereign nations.” My full speech at #CPACHungary2025! pic.twitter.com/W8JD5D1NtX

Speaking to Orbán spokesman Zoltán Kovács, US journalist Jack Posobiec said that “if you have a civil society organization in your country you must shut it down,” and take away their abililty to forster a radical left-wing agenda. Posobiec hoped the right-wing populist parties “like Nigel Farage in UK and AfD in Germany” will be able to restore sovereignty to European countries.

Former UK PM Liz Truss said that people used to flee Eastern Europe to come to the West. “Now, people are coming to Hungary from Western Europe to be able to speak their mind.”

Truss cited attacks on Free Speech in UK over “Islamophobia” and “Blasphemy Laws”: “We have a Deep State in Britain that is out of control.”

Former British PM @trussliz tells CPAC Hungary:
“It used to be the case that people would flee Eastern Europe to go to countries like Britain, where there is freedom, where there is free speech… Now people are leaving Britain to come to Budapest to talk about free speech.” pic.twitter.com/bdPunpmbEq

Underneath the attacks is a “globalist network that is well-funded: The World Economic Forum, the World Health Organizsation. I wasn’t aware how powerful these people were until I became Prime Minister of Great Britain. I faced smears, I faced lies over what we were trying to do. What they didn’t like was the way I was challenging the orthodoxy. This really opened my eyes to how powerful the globalist network is. The only hope is to take them on directly. That’s why I completely support what President Trump is doing: Defunding Harvard, defunding USAID. That’s what we need to do in Europe.”

Dutch commentator Eva Vlaardingerbroek noted that last year she had discussed “Replacement Theory” in her speech at CPAC Budapest, which garnered millions of views before it was censored on YouTube hours later. Since then, she had not only married and become a mother, but Donald Trump had been reelected and begun sweeping reforms.

“Where America is headed for cultural restitution, Europe is on a path to cultural destruction,” Vlaardingerbroek warned. “There is a civil war going on in Europe, where only one side is fighting. And it’s not our side.”

In her home country of the Netherlands, Geert Wilders’ government had instituted the “toughest immigration policy ever” – with the result that 130.000 new illegal migrants had arrived in the Netherlands, Vlaardingerbroek said. Even where patriotic parties are in the lead, European courts tie their hands and citics of the open borders policies are censored if they are nativist. “There is a name for that: Apartheid.”

Recently in Germany, young right-wing activists had been detained at the airport and prevented from traveling to a Remigration Summit in Italy (Gateway Pundit reported). “Let’s face it: Democracy in Europe is dead. Stone cold dead.”

“Being a dissident now is just as dangerous as under Stalin and Mao,” Vlaardingerbroek said.

“Instead of embracing a sincere peacemaking role and bolstering its diplomatic efforts, the European Union is currently consumed by aggression. Any opinion that strays from the sole ‘correct’ perspective is swiftly silenced.” pic.twitter.com/7wDRJnm3eT
