Markle is getting roasted in the web for sharing her ‘performance’.
In this world, there are embarrassing attitudes and situations, and then there is the SUPER CRINGE Instagram video just released by the Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle.
To celebrate her daughter Princess Lilibeth’s fourth birthday, Markle decided to release a video of herself twerking while nine months pregnant right in the delivery room.
The Telegraph reported:
“The Duchess, 43, can be seen performing the dance move, which involves hip-thrusting while in a squat position, with her husband in hospital while waiting to give birth to their daughter, who is seventh in line to the British throne.”
The Duchess wrote in her Instagram caption that she was ‘using the dance technique to induce birth’, which, she shared, was a week late.
“She explained: ‘Four years ago today, this also happened. Both of our children were a week past their due dates… so when spicy food, all that walking, and acupuncture didn’t work – there was only one thing left to do!’”
[…] The song [Baby Mama Dance], which includes the lyrics ‘drop it down, drop it down, down low’, was the focus of a TikTok trend where pregnant women showcased their dance moves at 39 weeks (nine months).”
There is reportedly no confirmation that these dance moves induce labor, although on a NHS (British National Health Service) website we can read: ‘Walking, dancing, swaying, squatting and using a birth ball all help to keep you mobile and active, which can help your labor to establish’.
What is perhaps less easy to explain is why she felt like sharing such a private (not to mention cringe) moment with the outside world.
“Meghan wrote: ‘Happy birthday to our beautiful girl! Four years ago today she came into our lives – and each day is brighter and better because of it’.”
Prince Harry, who is seen in the images ‘dancing’ with his wife, recently told BBC that ‘life is better off social media’. Maybe they could follow his own advice.
