Ex-New York School Employee Charged with a Felony for Allegedly Sending Nudes to a Minor

A former upstate New York school employee has been charged with a felony for allegedly sending nudes to a minor.

Chemung County Sheriff’s Office released a statement on Monday announcing they had arrested 22-year-old Anamaria E. Milazzo of Elmira on two charges: disseminating indecent material to minors in the second degree (a class E felony) and endangering the welfare of a child (a class A misdemeanor).

WETM confirmed that Milazzo worked at a Greater Southern Tier Board of Cooperative Educational Services (GST BOCES)facility in Chemung County. GST BOCES, though, refused to say when she worked at the school or what her job title was.

Milazzo has since been fired from her job.

As WETM reported, Milazzo’s arrest followed a complaint obtained by a school resource officer from the GST BOCES.

In the complaint, someone accused Milazzo of sending “inappropriate material” to an underage child.

Police proceeded to launch an investigation and determined Milazzo had sent naked pictures of herself to a 14-year-old boy over three months.

Police have not released the name of the boy allegedly victimized by Milazzo, presumably to protect his privacy and against potential retaliation.

It’s unknown if the boy was a student at the same school where Milazzo worked.

According to WETM, Milazzo was issued an appearance ticket to appear in the Wellsburg Village Court. She has since been released from jail.

This should raise a few eyebrows because she has been charged with a felony. How many people get that kind of privilege?

The scheduled court date remains undetermined at this point.
