WATCH: Fox & Friends Hosts Urge Trump to Provide Answers About ‘Ticking Time Bomb’ Epstein Case

The hosts on Fox & Friends urged President Donald Trump to provide clear answers and transparency about the Jeffrey Epstein case after he faced outrage from his supporters over a post telling people to move on.

On Saturday night, Trump shared a lengthy post on Truth Social addressing backlash from some of his supporters over the Department of Justice’s handling of the Epstein-related files.

The post primarily defended Attorney General Pam Bondi, who has faced criticism from MAGA influencers and conservatives for a recent DOJ and FBI memo stating that a review of Epstein’s materials “revealed no incriminating ‘client list’” tied to high-profile figures, despite earlier indications from the administration (including binders labeled “Epstein Files: Phase 1” distributed to influencers) that suggested more disclosures were coming.

Trump described the files as fabrications created by his political adversaries, including Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton, James Comey, and John Brennan, and urged his followers to move on from the issue to avoid giving it unnecessary publicity.

The president wrote, “What’s going on with my ‘boys’ and, in some cases, ‘gals?’ They’re all going after Attorney General Pam Bondi, who is doing a FANTASTIC JOB! We’re on one Team, MAGA, and I don’t like what’s happening. We have a PERFECT Administration. THE TALK OF THE WORLD, and ‘selfish’ people are trying to hurt it, all over a guy who never dies, Jeffrey Epstein. For years, it’s Epstein, over and over again. Why are we giving publicity to Files written by Obama, Crooked Hillary, Comey, Brennan, and the Losers and Criminals…”

Trump called for supporters to “LET PAM BONDI DO HER JOB — SHE’S GREAT!” and not “waste Time and Energy” on the controversy.

The post quickly backfired among Trump’s core base on Truth Social, where it was “ratioed,” meaning it received far more replies (many critical) than likes or reposts (approximately 25.9K comments vs. 23.2K likes and 8.1K reposts as of Sunday morning).

The controversy spilled over to X and other platforms, with figures like Elon Musk publicly criticizing Trump and demanding he “just release Epstein files as promised.”

Trump’s administration had promised fuller releases, but the recent memo concluded no formal “client list” existed, leading to accusations of a cover-up from both sides of the aisle.

During Sunday morning’s episode of Fox & Friends, which is reportedly the president’s favorite show, the hosts warned that the controversy is a “ticking time bomb.”

“If there’s anybody who could walk in and say, ‘OK, we’ve resolved all of the questions and there is nothing here,’ it would be President Trump and his crew,” host Charles Hurt said. “The problem is, you can’t really do it without giving some explanation. And there has to be some explanation. And I think that’s why you have a lot of people still pretty with a lot a very valid questions.”

Kevin Corke added, “You can defuse this ticking time bomb if you simply get out there.”

“You can’t tell me that a thousand people were hurt and that there are no people out there that we can arrest,” Corke said. “You can tell me that, ‘Sorry. We don’t have a list.’ Fine, don’t have a list. Tell me who the perpetrators were. Let’s depose every single person who might have had a chance to get on that list, and might have been out there at that island and let’s talk to them. Let’s find out what happened. You’re telling me there are videos out there in New Mexico and on the island and in New York and nobody saw anything? I don’t buy it. And that’s why they need to get out there and face the fire.”

Corke continued, “It doesn’t have to be long, but you have to answer questions to the American people. Because absent that, this story won’t die and that is a distraction the president doesn’t want.”

Rachel Campos-Duffy remarked that the American people “just want some simple answers.”
