U.S. Marshals Rescue Missing Teen During Operation to Nab MS-13 Gang Member in Maryland

U.S. Marshals, alongside the Frederick County Sheriff’s Office, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), and Homeland Security Investigations, executed a high-stakes operation in Maryland on Thursday to arrest an MS-13 gang member, which led to the rescue of a missing 16-year-old girl.

The illegal alien gang member, Denis Misael Dominguez Reyes, is a 27-year-old citizen of El Salvador. He was taken into custody on a Final Order of Removal issued by federal immigration authorities.

The operation unfolded in the 500 block of W. 7th Street in Frederick, Maryland, where authorities moved to detain Dominguez Reyes, who was suspected of harboring the missing teen, also from El Salvador.

The young girl, who has not been publicly identified, had been reported missing to the Frederick County Sheriff’s Office, and intelligence gathered during the investigation revealed she was in danger.

Thanks to the swift and coordinated efforts of the U.S. Marshals Service Capital Area Regional Fugitive Task Force, the teen was safely recovered and turned over to local authorities for reunification with her family.

Dominguez Reyes now remains in ICE custody and is facing removal proceedings.

“Assisting our state and local partners to recover critically missing children is a top priority of the United States Marshals Service,” said Clinton J. Fuchs, U.S. Marshal for the District of Maryland, according to a report from local station WMAR.

Fuchs added, “We will continue to do everything we can to find these children and safely reunite them with their families.”
