Petition Demanding General Election in the UK Shoots up Past 200 Thousand Signatures, as Brits Are Already Fed-up With PM Starmer and His Hard Left Labour Government

Keir Starmer’s premiership in the UK has barely started and it already feels like it’s on its way out.

Bogged in a succession of scandals and horrible policy announcements, Starmer sees his popularity plummet, and now there is movement in the civil society to end his regrettable mandate.

It arises now that a petition calling for a general election has exceeded – in fact, more than doubled – the amount needed for a response from the government and a debate in parliament.

Daily Mail reported:

“The online petition has surpassed 200,000 signatures, at the time of publication, after being widely shared on social media since being created on Wednesday.

It smashed through the 100,000 mark today which is the amount needed for it to be considered for a debate in parliament.”

The petition says that the person signing it would like for another General Election to happen now, and believe that ‘current Labour Government have gone back on the promises they laid out in the lead up to the last election.

According to the government website, the petitions which reach 100,000 signatures ‘are almost always debated’.

“It comes following a difficult week for the government as farmers took to the streets in protest to voice their objections to the inheritance tax measures announced in the Budget.”

The ‘shrinking premier’ sees his popularity plummet.

Latest poll reveals that Starmer’s approval ratings have plummeted by 43 points since he became the PM.

“The Prime Minister has defined his brief premiership with ‘tough choices’ on public spending – including cutting the Winter Fuel Allowance for millions of pensioners and ending the £2 bus fare cap.

But the latest approval ratings from think tank More in Common suggest his pessimism is turning off voters who gave him an electoral landslide in July.”

The amount of people with a good impression og his government minus those who think his performance bad stands at negative 38 – that’s a tumble of 43 points in around 3 months.
