361 illegal aliens and 14 illegal alien children were detained in the raids at two locations in Ventura County owned by Glass House Farms, Camarillo and Carpinteria.

The raids sparked protests that included a Democrat Congressman, Rep. Salud Carbajal, that turned violent with rocks being thrown at agents and their vehicles, in addition to the gunfire.

At least one agent needed stitches from a rock that hit him when he was targeted by protesters after Carbajal reportedly showed the agent’s business card to the protesters accodring to the Department of Homeland Security, “Representative Salud Carbajal was among the mob of rioters who attacked federal immigration authorities as they executed a criminal search warrant at a marijuana facility. Rep. Carbajal showed an ICE employee’s business card to the mob, making him a target. The employee was subsequently attacked, with lacerations to his left hand due to a rock being thrown at him. The employee had to go to the emergency room and get stitches for his injury. This operation led to the arrest of 361 illegal aliens and the rescue of 14 migrant children who were victims of potential exploitation, forced labor, and human trafficking.”
