CHARM OFFENSIVE: Zelensky Reshuffles His Government, Aiming to Show a Different Side of Ukraine for the US and the World

A DIFFERENT LOOK: New PM Yulia Svyrydenko, and new ambassador to the US Olha Stefanis/Wiki Commons.

Out go the unshaven, tough-looking guys, in come the beautiful women in designer clothes.

As has done a few times during the 3 and a half years of the war, Kiev regime leader Volodymyr Zelensky enacted a sweeping reorganization of his government – and there are those who say he promoted officials who could potentially win the favor of the US Donald J. Trump administration.

As Bloomberg reported (behind a paywall), Zelenskiy announced a cabinet reshuffle, replacing Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal with the gorgeous Yulia Svyrydenko, a deputy premier who successfully negotiated a significant minerals deal with the Trump administration.

Shmyhal became the new Defense Minister, and the former incumbent, rustic-looking Rustem Umerov, was initially tasked to become the new US ambassador, but no! – the job goes to the equally gorgeous Olha Stefanishyna.

“Yulia Svyrydenko, a deputy premier who took the lead in coordinating a landmark minerals deal with President Donald Trump’s administration, was nominated to replace Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal.

[…] Zelensky met with Svyrydenko, 39, on Monday to discuss ‘concrete measures to boost Ukraine’s economic potential, expand support programs for Ukrainians, and scale up our domestic weapons production,’ Zelenskiy said in a social media post.”

Umerov is not the face that Zelensky wants to show Washington.

Reuters reported:

“The new envoys named on Monday include ambassadors to NATO members Belgium, Canada, Estonia and Spain, as well as major donor Japan and regional heavyweights South Africa and the United Arab Emirates.

[…] Deputy Prime Minister Olha Stefanishyna is set to become Ukraine’s new envoy to the United States, as Ukraine seeks to mend ties with the Trump administration.”

Strong rumours today that the U.S. has objected to @rustem_umerov‘s candidacy as ambassador.

Olha Stefanishyna looks set to be given the role instead

A position will be created for the ex-Defence Minister, presumably as negotiator, but not with his family in USA. pic.twitter.com/X90jnPAIF1
