Crime is down in Washington, DC, just ask the fake news media.
Justice Department official Harmeet Dhillon revealed that a homeless man in DC almost robbed her as she was walking to the DOJ on Tuesday afternoon.
The Gateway Pundit’s White House Correspondent Jordan Conradson chatted with Harmeet Dhillon near the White House shortly before the attempted robbery on Tuesday afternoon. A homeless man harassed Harmeet Dhillon and Jordan Conradson. The vagrant verbally accosted Harmeet Dhillon and demanded that she hand over her water bottle.
Shortly thereafter, Harmeet Dhillon was almost robbed as she walked from an appointment to the DOJ.
“A malodorous homeless person attempted to swipe my phone today while I was walking in DC back to the DOJ from an appointment — but he was not in his right mind and I artfully dodged the attempt,” Harmeet Dhillon, Assistant Attorney General for the Civil Rights Division, said.
“It’ll be a while till things feel safe in this city, so everyone stay alert!” she said.

The attempted robbery against Harmeet Dhillon comes as President Trump deployed the National Guard in DC because of the soaring crime.
President Trump on Monday announced that he is invoking Section 740 of the DC Home Rule Act to place Washington, DC’s Metropolitan Police Department under “direct federal control” and authorizing the Secretary of Defense to deploy National Guard troops in Washington, DC.
Section 740 of the DC Home Rule Act allows the President to take control of the Metropolitan Police Department under “special conditions of an emergency nature.”
The President signed two executive actions on Monday, including invoking powers under section 740 and sending statutorily required letters to the DC Mayor and the necessary congressional committees. Section 740 requires the President to notify the committee chairmen and the mayor in order to federalize the Metropolitan police for more than forty-eight hours.
He also signed a Presidential memorandum directing the Secretary of Defense to utilize National Guard troops to clean up DC and authorizing state governors to use their National Guard troops at home.
“We will bring in the military if it’s needed,” Trump told reporters.
President Trump decided to deploy the National Guard to quell the violence in DC after DOGE worker Edward Coristine, AKA “Big Balls,” was severely beaten by a pack of thugs.
