NYC bomb squad investigates suspicious package in Times Square Via Kristina Partsinevelos on X

Police in New York City evacuated a subway station in Times Square following the discovery of a suspicious package, which prompted an investigation by the bomb squad. 

CNBC’s Kristina Partsinevelos posted a video of a member of the bomb squad at the corner of 43rd and 7th st.

“A suspicious package was placed at, I’m told, 10:20 am in front of this New York police department,” she said in the clip from behind her desk.

“Looks to be okay now,” Partsinevelos commented on X.

Per New York Post:

The cylinder-style device was discovered outside the NYPD’s substation in Times Square at around 10:30 a.m., law-enforcement sources said.

The 42nd Street Times Square Station, which serves the N, Q, R, W, 1, 2, 3, A, C and E lines, was cleared out as a precaution, sources said.

Seventh Avenue, between West 43rd and 42nd Street, was blocked off to pedestrians and vehicular traffic.
